The Proof is in the Pudding!!!

Microbiology Test Results

The revolutionary concept has been researched and extensively tested at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester in United Kingdom. The research led by Dr. Meriel Moore-Colyer and carried out by Becky James consistently proved that the HAYGAIN hay steamer kills all the harmful spores in hay - in effect, sterilizing it.

The petri films show the number of colonies of spores grown from 1 gram of untreated hay (good quality dry hay) on a microbial media was 7,775,000 per gram (7.75 million).

HAYGAIN REDUCED IT TO ZERO! (P<0.008)

BEFORE HAYGAIN TREATMENT  7.75 MILLION COLONIES PER GRAM

  AFTER HAYGAIN TREATMENT -  ZERO!

" Microbiological tests have shown a highly significant (P<0.008) reduction in colony forming units/gram in bacteria, fungi and yeast when hay is steamed in this unique way. Pathogenic challenge to both the respiratory and digestive systems is all but eliminated, making the steamed hay an excellent feed for all performance horses."

Summary of HAYGAIN Research

Did you know?

Over 50 species of fungal spores have been identified in stable air with the primary source being hay and straw.
